Role Summary:
Themis Recruit are looking for an experienced Employment Solicitor to enhance their Corporate Employment Team. With extensive expertise in both contentious and non-contentious employment law, our client supports senior executives, investment professionals, and businesses across various sectors, including financial services, technology, family offices, and sports.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Partner and an Associate to further develop their employment practice and engage with all areas of the firm.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage a diverse caseload of employment matters, both contentious and non-contentious, with autonomy and support as needed.

Draft and negotiate key documents, such as service agreements and settlement agreements.

Provide commercial, pragmatic, and risk-based employment advice to clients, often working with overseas counsel.

Advise on a wide range of issues, including:

Employment contracts

Grievances and dismissals
-
Subject access requests
-
Business transfers and outsourcings
-
Employment disputes in courts and tribunals
-
TUPE, redundancy, and hiring/firing processes.

Play a key role in business development and initiatives to raise the profile of the employment practice.
Experience and Skills Required:
- Minimum of 7 years PQE in Employment Law.
- Strong team player willing to support colleagues during peak periods.
- Proven ability to handle a mix of contentious and non-contentious employment work.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple files and deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong client handling abilities and confidence in providing pragmatic, risk-based advice.
- Self-starter with initiative and drive for business development.
- Highly organized and proficient in relevant IT systems.
- Solid academic background, with experience from a respected Employment team.
