Role Overview

We're seeking an experienced

Purchasing Manager

to lead our procurement team and ensure the timely, cost-effective supply of materials and services. You will work closely with internal departments and global suppliers, driving cost savings, improving processes, and supporting strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers to secure the best value.
  • Manage supplier relationships, ensuring quality, reliability, and timely delivery.
  • Develop and track departmental KPIs to measure and improve performance.
  • Drive cost-saving initiatives across the business.
  • Lead and mentor the purchasing team, fostering growth and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with teams across Planning, Sales, Manufacturing, and Quality.
  • Monitor demand forecasts to maintain optimal inventory levels.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards.

What We're Looking For

  • Qualifications:

  • Degree in a relevant field (preferred).

  • CIPS Level 6: Professional Diploma in Procurement and Supply (required).

  • Experience:

  • 10+ years in purchasing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

  • Strong background in electronics manufacturing and modern procurement techniques.

  • Skills:

  • Proven negotiation skills and a track record of cost reductions.

  • Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems.

  • Ability to coach and develop teams.

  • Strong knowledge of supply chain management and lean processes.

  • Understanding of "green" supply chain practices.
