The Principal Designer Team Lead Role
The successful Senior Principal Designer will take on a pivotal role, overseeing the delivery of high-profile projects across various sectors, ensuring excellence from concept to completion. This role is designed for an individual who is passionate about project delivery without the added responsibility of business development.
The Senior Principal Designer will
- Participate as a Principal Designer on all projects.
- Lead and manage a team of 2 CDM Principal Designers, ensuring projects meet the highest standards of quality and compliance.
- Oversee project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful delivery.
- Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams to provide innovative and practical design solutions.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations and best practices, ensuring all projects comply with relevant safety and construction standards.
- Mentor and develop team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
The Senior Principal Designer
- Proven experience in a Principal Designer role, with a strong background in construction or design.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing and delivering complex projects within a consultancy environment.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage and inspire a team.
- In-depth knowledge of CDM regulations and health and safety standards.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Relevant industry qualifications, such as NEBOSH Construction Certificate, TechIOSH membership, or equivalent.
