Marketing and Business Develop Manager

I am searching for a dynamic Marketing & Business Development Manager to join my client's prestigious law firm! The ideal candidate will have a holistic interest in the business and be responsible for driving business growth through identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining strong customer relationships, and developing strategic partnerships. This role is pivotal in shaping the firm's future by leveraging specialised expertise in marketing campaigns and business development. It's an exciting time to join as this rapidly expanding organisation approaches its 300-year anniversary.

Day to day of the role:

  • Develop and implement a focused marketing and business development strategy targeting both existing and potential clients.
  • Conduct thorough research to understand the needs and structures of prospective clients.
  • Plan, execute, and finalise projects aligning with the agreed schedule, quality, and budget.
  • Represent the firm professionally and manage associated activities effectively.
  • Create compelling credentials, pitches, and advise partners on strategy in relation to bids and tenders.
  • Identify opportunities to win work for the firm, ensuring that opportunities are exploited and managed.
  • Administer the creation of sector-specific content, campaigns, events, and other profile-raising activities.
  • Organise and attend marketing events, recording their uptake and success rate.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Manager to update web pages and social media.
  • Plan, prepare and monitor annual budgets.
  • Manage third-party interactions with marketing service providers.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in legal/professional services firms.
  • Proven track record of achieving targets and developing effective strategies.
  • Experience working with senior managers and negotiating consensus.
  • Proficiency in digital tools for targeted and wider audience reach.
  • Strong relationship-building skills, both internally and externally.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Competency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project).
  • Candidates must have valid work experience in a Law Firm, Accountancy Firm, Management Consultancy, Property/Construction Firm, Financial Services Firm, or other regulated industry.
