Statera Talent are recruiting an Operational Risk Analyst for a leading financial institution within Cardiff.
Key Responsibilities:
Risk Identification and Assessment:
- Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential operational risks within the organization.
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to minimize the impact of identified risks.
Risk Monitoring and Reporting:
- Continuously monitor risk exposure and ensure effective risk management practices are in place.
- Prepare detailed risk reports for senior management and stakeholders, providing clear insights and recommendations.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure a comprehensive understanding of operational risks.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure risk management strategies are understood and implemented.
Policy and Procedure Development:
- Assist in the development and maintenance of risk management policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal standards.
Incident Management:
- Investigate operational incidents and near misses to identify root causes.
- Develop and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Required Experience:
- At least 2 years of experience in operational or enterprise risk management, or a background in internal audit with relevant exposure to risk management practices.
- Strong understanding of risk management principles and frameworks.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
