Interim Accountant

KCR Solutions are assisting our client through a period of change resulting in their need for interim support within their finance department. The term length of the contract will be 3-6 months.

Our client is based on the outskirts of Sunderland and operates a hybrid working model. This role will be split between the office location and remote working.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage the delivery of monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and adherence to strict deadlines,.
  • Responsibility for the accuracy of the P&L and Balance Sheet.
  • Efficiently manage the delivery of interim and year-end audit deliverables ensuring adherence to audit timetable.
  • Manage intercompany billing processes to ensure accurate and timely billing to other group companies.
  • Accruals and prepayments
  • Oversee and approve payment runs, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely processing of payments.
  • Ensure VAT is appropriately and accurately recorded for all claims
  • Assist with audit queries as required
  • Other ad hoc tasks as required by the Head of Central Finance and wider finance function
  • Maintaining an appropriate control environment ensuring team members understand their responsibility for compliance and risk management
  • Financial Reporting and Analysis
  • Budgeting and Forecasting
  • Support the development of the Finance team, ensuring they are high-performing and well-structured to meet business needs.

The Person

  • Qualified Accountant - ACA / ACCA / CIMA or Qualified by Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role

37.5 hour week

25 days holiday bank holidays

3 days office and 2 days working from home
