We are seeking an Estimating Engineer to join our dynamic team in the utility sector, focusing on EMobility, I&C, Renewables, and housing. As an Estimating Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the sales and tendering functions of our business, ensuring that all projects are costed accurately and efficiently.
Day to Day of the Role:
- Interpret client requirements and produce detailed costings using Excel spreadsheets.
- Understand contestable and non-contestable connections as well as beyond the meter installations.
- Correctly interpret electrical loadings and produce outline designs for use at the estimating stage.
- Accurately cost the turnkey solution using the company's process model.
- Produce turnkey package solutions within a set timescale.
- Provide and feedback relevant KPIs.
- Carry out all work to company, DNO, and IDNO specifications.
- Prioritise workflow to meet deadlines and maintain high customer standards.
- Liaise effectively with all stakeholders to ensure that targets and key deadlines are met.
- Promote the company and maximise opportunities within the market sector.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients and suppliers.
- Acquire quotations/tenders from suppliers and manufacturers.
