Shift Supervisor
Location: Solihull
Salary: £40,000 -£43,000 dependent on experience
The Vacancy
We are looking for a new Supervisor to join our Team!
The successful applicant will be responsible for coaching, mentoring and developing our Tank House. You will implement processes and continuous development of your team and promote Lean methodologies and champion development and execution of lean roadmap with your area!
Your main role responsibilities will include:
- Coach, mentor and develop a model line team
- Support organisational capability improvement of Tank House team members
- Support the HSE roadmap to improve metrics and support our vision "Zero Harm!
- Support the "First time right" initiative
- Support the continuous improvement of the Production System
- Conduct regular audits for improvement opportunities
- Develop engagement, communications and other activities to keep team moral
- Lead and effectively execute company policies and procedures
- Set both Team and TM objectives in line with the company visions and objectives
- Maintain visual management and data to monitor and maintain the departments KPI'S
We are looking for someone who has:
- Previous experience within the manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of Welding and Fabrication
- An understanding of Lean manufacturing systems
- Experience of mentoring and coaching teams
- Experience of team engagement, communication, time management and decision making
- Exceptional leadership skills
It would be desirable if you had the following, but it is not essential:
- Management experience
- Welding and Fabrication experience
- IOSH certificate
- Quality systems knowledge (ISO 9001, 14001 AND 45001)
