Technical Account Manager

My client is an exciting and growing green technology business, providing bespoke technology systems to the solar energy industry worldwide.

They seek a Technical Account Manager to join the team who will work directly with customers and with other members of the Business Development team, supporting all aspects of the technical sales process and managing and delivering software training. The Technical Account Manager will be instrumental in convincing prospective clients and maturing the company's customer base, serving as a trusted technical advisor by providing specialized knowledge in applying their services and technology to client businesses.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Provide direction and specialist knowledge in applying the business services and technology applications to the client's business
  • Be the expert for formulating and leading presales technical / functional support activity to prospective clients and customers
  • Be responsible, with others, for achieving revenue targets related to products or customers
  • Develop and deliver outstanding presentations, demonstrations, and written proposals in partnership with the Regional Managers
  • Measurably increase the use of our software by showing customers how they can be more successful in their roles
  • Manage data collection, analysis, tracking, and execution projects timely, accurately and exceeding customers' expectations
  • Provide product and technical guidance to key customers
  • Propose new service lines to the business by understanding customer requirements and spotting opportunities for improvement
  • Develop and maintain a strong relationship with customers to increase loyalty and retention
  • Provide regular feedback concerning customer experience and participate in the software product specifications

Successful candidates will proven B2B sales and account manager skills, with experience ideally from the solar industry or a closely related field. The role requires excellent communication skills, an ability to manage your own workload and targets with the ability to work collaboratively with the team. You must be willing to travel, knowledge of a second European language would be a nice to have. The role can be managed on a remote / hybrid basis.
