Day-to-day of the role:
- Deliver high-quality Religious Studies lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
- Engage students in a broad-based study of religious and ethical themes.
- Encourage students to reflect on major faith traditions and their own ways of life.
- Participate in curriculum development and contribute to cross-curricular links.
- Engage in continuous professional learning and contribute to the wider life of the school through extracurricular activities.
- Use a variety of teaching methods to cater to different learning styles and ensure all students are given the best opportunities to succeed.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- A strong understanding of curriculum design and secondary school teaching experience.
- Clear communication skills and good organisational abilities.
- Ability to work well as part of a team and manage work effectively.
- Commitment to promoting the school's vision and values and to ongoing personal development.
- Experience with or willingness to engage in extracurricular activities is highly desirable.
