Job Summary

  • Generate new business opportunities for our growing company through cold calling
  • Create and maintain a completely new database of prospects that fit our ideal customer profile
  • Work closely with the sales manager and the sales team to achieve targets
  • Progression available within the company and develop sales skills and knowledge
  • A key focus for new business leads will be aligned with one of our Cyber Security Vendors.
  • Attending events and webinars.

Core Responsibilities

  • Research and identify owners/decision makers of potential prospects that match our target client profiles.
  • Make outbound cold calls to create a pipeline of prospects and introduce our company and services.
  • Determining if the prospect has a valid need for the company's products and services
  • Progress cold calls into qualified leads and book appointments for the sales team.
  • Follow up with prospects and maintain a record of all contacts and outcomes.
  • Update and manage the CRM system with accurate and relevant information on all prospects.
  • Meet and exceed your monthly targets for calls, leads, and appointments.
  • Provide status information to your Manager including forecast/pipeline information.
  • Provide feedback and suggestions to improve the cold calling process and strategy.
  • Continual improvement with training from Vendor/s.
  • Be involved with, and undertake any other duties as requested or required.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

Essential

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to persuade and influence decision-makers.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to handle rejection and objections.
  • Proficient in using MS Office and CRM software.
  • Strong planning, administration, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and quality.

Desirable

  • Knowledge of the IT MSP industry and market.
  • Experience of working in an IT focussed company.
  • Previous experience in cold calling, telemarketing, or lead generation.
  • An understanding of the layers of security of an IT network.
  • Experience working in a business-to-business environment.
  • Relevant qualification or certification in sales.
  • Experience in selling IT services or solutions.
  • Existing network of contacts in the IT sector.
