Our well-established client are looking to recruit a Transport Manager on a fulltime permanent basis working Monday to Friday (NO weekends). This is a new position with the business, and you will have responsibility for the transport department which includes 20 vehicles (plus drivers) and a small team in the office.
Job Role as a Transport Manager will involve the day to day management of staff, kpi reporting, planning of routes, dealing with shortfalls, working with the busy production department. Managing a multi million budget
As a Transport Manager this role also comes with a positive twist as you will be looking at ways to bring the business forward from a transport perspective, looking at a new computer system, tracking updates, do the lorries need additional equipment to help the drivers load/unload. In a nutshell they are looking at bringing the internal transport to the same levels as an outsourced transport provider.
To be considered the role of Transport Manager you will have worked in a similar role, be able to demonstrate project management experience and implementation.
This role is Monday to Friday no weekends. The company offer 25 days holiday plus stats, bonuses, Salary up to £45,000.
