Interim Management Accountant
Ipswich
6-9 months, £180-£230 per day
We are currently seeking an interim Management Accountant for a 6-9 month period in Ipswich. This role is essential for providing finance support with a focus on commercial and front-end operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality management information, insights, and analytics, and will play a key role in managing the P&L and Balance Sheet, including standard costs and inventory management.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Month-end process, including journal postings and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Provide commercial analysis.
- Collaborate with FP&A teams to share best practices and drive process improvements.
- Conduct insightful analysis for new product initiatives, including investment appraisal and business case analysis.
- Budgets, forecasts and planning.
- Prepare concise commentaries on operating performance, identify root causes, and coordinate with associates for countermeasures.
- Sales and margin reporting.
- Inventory control.
- Attend senior management meetings.
- Assist with external and internal audits.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial partnering.
- ACCA/CIMA/ACA qualified/part-qualified or QBE.
- Good Microsoft Excel skills.
- Resilient and capable of working well under pressure and independently.
- Creative problem-solving, forecasting, and financial modelling skills.
- Ability to adhere to tight reporting deadlines.
- Excellent time management and prioritisation skills.
- Keen attention to detail and effective communication skills.
