Description
The Senior Production Manager reports directly into the Operations Director and forms a key part of the site leadership team. Responsibilities will include:
- Enhancing productivity through efficient management and utilisation of resources
- Implementing and maintaining high standards of quality and safety
- Provide leadership, coaching and development across the department
- Overseeing production processes and ensuring their alignment with company objectives
- Managing performance metrics and implementing strategies for continuous improvement
- Working cross functionally with other departments to ensure seamless operations
- Providing regular reports on department performance to senior management
- Management and control of OPEX and CAPEX budgets for Production, CI, maintenance including preparation and review of budgets
Profile
The successful Senior Production Manager should have:
- Proven experience in managing a Production teams within the FMCG industry
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality standards
- Demonstrable leadership acumen and excellent communication skills
- The ability to drive continuous improvement and motivate a team
- Strong analytical skills, comfortable with numbers, data and systems and be able to present
- Excellent coaching capabilities and a high level of emotional intelligence
- A degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Management, or a related field
