This role is for a Senior Production Manager, responsible for leading the Production operations in a thriving FMCG business based in Harrogate. They will ensure optimal performance and productivity while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Description

The Senior Production Manager reports directly into the Operations Director and forms a key part of the site leadership team. Responsibilities will include:

  • Enhancing productivity through efficient management and utilisation of resources
  • Implementing and maintaining high standards of quality and safety
  • Provide leadership, coaching and development across the department
  • Overseeing production processes and ensuring their alignment with company objectives
  • Managing performance metrics and implementing strategies for continuous improvement
  • Working cross functionally with other departments to ensure seamless operations
  • Providing regular reports on department performance to senior management
  • Management and control of OPEX and CAPEX budgets for Production, CI, maintenance including preparation and review of budgets

Profile

The successful Senior Production Manager should have:

  • Proven experience in managing a Production teams within the FMCG industry
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality standards
  • Demonstrable leadership acumen and excellent communication skills
  • The ability to drive continuous improvement and motivate a team
  • Strong analytical skills, comfortable with numbers, data and systems and be able to present
  • Excellent coaching capabilities and a high level of emotional intelligence
  • A degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Management, or a related field
