Are you a nurturing and motivated KS1 Teacher ready to help young learners thrive in Year 2?

GSL Education Manchester is excited to be working with a welcoming, community-focused primary school in M16, Manchester, as they look to appoint a dedicated Year 2 Class Teacher to join their team from September 2025. This is a temp to perm opportunity, offering a fantastic chance to settle into a supportive school environment with the potential for a permanent role.

About the Role:

You'll be working within a friendly, experienced KS1 team and taking responsibility for an enthusiastic and curious Year 2 class. The school has a strong emphasis on high-quality teaching, positive relationships, and providing children with the very best start to their education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons in line with the Year 2 curriculum
  • Create a nurturing, inclusive classroom where all pupils can reach their potential
  • Support children in developing essential skills in reading, writing, and mathematics
  • Monitor and assess progress, adapting learning to meet individual needs
  • Build positive relationships with colleagues, families, and school leaders
  • Play an active role in wider school life, enrichment, and events

What We're Looking For:

  • A qualified teacher (QTS essential) with experience in KS1 (Year 2 preferred)
  • Strong classroom management and high expectations for all pupils
  • A reflective, passionate approach to teaching and learning
  • A team player ready to contribute positively to the school community
