Reed Education is looking for a Year 2 and SEND Teacher who is dedicated to fostering a nurturing and inclusive learning environment. The ideal candidate will be committed to helping every child reach their full potential and uphold the Christian ethos of the school.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons to meet the diverse needs of Year 2 pupils, including those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
  • Maintain a safe, positive, and stimulating classroom environment that promotes learning and development.
  • Work closely with the SEND Coordinator to implement individual education plans (IEPs) for SEND pupils and track their progress.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and other professionals to ensure a collaborative approach to education.
  • Participate actively in school activities, staff meetings, and professional development opportunities.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Proven experience teaching Key Stage 1 and working with SEND pupils.
  • Commitment to the Christian values of kindness, respect, and excellence.
  • Strong classroom management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate young learners.
  • Excellent teamwork, interpersonal, and organisational abilities.
