Description

The In-House Legal Adviser will:

  • Manage your own caseload, providing legal and technical advice to board members and regional stakeholders.
  • You'll assess and process applications for legal financial assistance, ensuring compliance with the scheme's rules while protecting its funds.
  • You'll provide guidance and support matters through external panel Solicitors.
  • You'll be involved in a wide range of legal disputes including; contracts, land, regulatory, rights of way, employment, tenancies, planning and judicial review.
  • Additionally, you'll promote the Legal Assistance Scheme within designated regions, liaise with third-party advisers, and contribute to the overall strategy of the organisation.

Profile

The In-House Legal Adviser should hold:

  • A law degree or equivalent legal qualification.
  • Qualified as a Solicitor or Legal Executive.
  • Experience in a legal advisory role, preferably within a not-for-profit organisation.
  • Strong knowledge of UK litigation law and regulations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to work collaboratively in a team.
