Job Summary: The Assistant Operations Manager will support the Operations Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the Worksop facility. This role involves coordinating various operational activities, ensuring efficiency, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with strong organisational skills and a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Operations Manager in planning, directing, and coordinating operations activities.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations to ensure efficient processes and adherence to company policies.
  • Monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement.
  • Implement and maintain operational procedures and policies.
  • Coordinate with different departments to ensure seamless operations.
  • Supervise and train staff, providing guidance and support to enhance performance.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Assist in managing budgets and controlling operational costs.
  • Handle customer queries and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and decision-making processes.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in an operations management role, preferably in a similar industry.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with ERP systems.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical mindset with a problem-solving attitude.
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles or Six Sigma certification.
  • Familiarity with industry-specific regulations and standards.
