Role Overview:
We are seeking a skilled General Engineer to join our client's dynamic team. As an Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring smooth bottling production line operations. Working closely with the Head of Engineering, your responsibilities will include responding to breakdowns, executing planned maintenance tasks, and optimising machine performance. Your expertise will also contribute to the installation and setup of new machinery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond promptly to machine breakdowns to minimise downtime and production interruptions.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and automation issues.
- Implement effective solutions to prevent recurring breakdowns and enhance machine reliability.
- Collaborate with maintenance planners to schedule and prioritise planned maintenance tasks.
- Perform routine maintenance checks and inspections.
- Provide technical guidance and support to machine setters during equipment setup and changeovers.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
- Electrical experience is highly desirable.
- Strong technical aptitude with expertise in mechanical systems, automation, and PLC programming.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting complex machinery and resolving technical issues efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and practices.
- Analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and problem-solving.
Benefits:
