Mechanical Design Engineer
- The role will be responsible for the design of forgings, tools and dies to meet customer requirements
- Design and manufacture of complex metal components and supply products worldwide to prestigious blue-chip customers.
- This will involve the production of all necessary drawings and documentation to support, as well as the recommendation and implementation of any system modifications.
- The role is also responsible for compiling working manuals and records to allow forging operations to be effectively carried out.
Knowledge & Experience
- Candidates should have an Engineering Degree, preferably in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering, with at least 4 years relevant experience gained within an engineering business.
- Candidates should have prior experience within a design role, strong knowledge of 3D CAD software (preferably Creo)
- you must have strong IT skills, to include Mini Tab and preferably Power BI.
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Familiarity with metals and basic metallurgy knowledge would be advantageous
