Key Account Manager

The Role

Working as part of an enthusiastic and dynamic external sales team within your area, you will be primarily responsible for selling AIR safety company's impressive portfolio of respiratory protective equipment through converting sales leads across a dedicated sales region. You will be responsible for meeting set targets, generating new sales as well as growing your existing distributor accounts. Part of The AIR safety company ethos is to offer portacount fit testing to our distributor's client base, and you will be integral in the delivery of this strategy.

Duties

  • Generate new sales leads through strategic planning tools, telephone calls, CRM database, face to face visits, exhibitions and internal and external leads;
  • Achieve agreed sales targets and maximise sales through customer visits within a specific sales region;
  • Build rapport and strong relationships with key influencers and decision makers in your region, selling the value and benefits of our products and soon to be launched new RPE technology.
  • Manage and develop the sales pipeline to track opportunities in line with the commercial strategy to grow revenue;
  • Attend monthly meetings at our head office in Romsey, Southampton.
  • Accurately report on sales activity, sales opportunities, market intelligence and revenue forecasting;
  • Research and identify new product development areas for The AIR safety company brand by capitalising on current and future opportunities;
  • Work with the UK Sales Manager, to establish a robust sales plan to support achieving the set sales activities and targets;
  • Deliver presentations to a diverse range of potential RPE distributors to raise awareness of our brand, products and new technology.
  • Maintain a professional image and reputation in keeping with The Air safety company ethos.

The ideal candidate will have a RPE industry background with strong market knowledge and Portacount experience. We will also consider candidates from a PPE or similar successful sales background.
