Manufacturing Shift Leader
Permanent – Full-Time – Days - Monday-Friday - 40 Hours
Are you a Manufacturing supervisor, experienced in ‘hands-on' leadership, driving performance and developing talent within a precision machining environment, looking for an exciting next step in your career?
The Role:
- The primary duties include taking ownership of the manufacturing plan
- Hands-On leader, overseeing manufacturing and production processes
- Responsible for the day to day running of the shift
- Ensuring production is delivered on time and to specification
- People Management skills, actively leading and nurturing talent
- Striving to reduce expenses and increase productively
- Supporting continuous improvement activities
- Implementing all the companies' policies and procedures
- Communicating any problems or obstacles to Senior Management
- Monitoring productivity rate, standards, and quality control
- Ensuring health and safety culture is maintained
The Person:
- 4+ years of supervisory/managerial experience in a manufacturing environment
- Skilled machinist able to program using Fanuc controls
- Proven ability prioritising to meet deadlines in a fast-paced production environment
- Computer literate – experience with manufacturing systems and reporting
- Strong communication skills
- Experience working in AS9100 environment, formal training or management qualification, formal safety training/qualification – Desirable
