Associate Investment Analyst (AIA)

The investment management and research functions are undertaken by the Group Research team and are essential to the success of AFH. As our Associate Investment Analyst, you will assist in maintaining due diligence of incumbent investments, and documenting macro and asset allocation research.

As our Associate Investment Analyst, you will be responsible for:

  • Assist with quantitative and qualitative analysis on investment opportunities, producing relevant reports with supporting information and evidence
  • Assist with investment idea generation, including quantitative screening and sourcing relevant information and documents from fund houses
  • Contribute to model portfolio management and report writing
  • Produce daily reports, using Microsoft Exec and similar tools
  • Assisting in managing fund research reports, and maintaining the fund report library
  • Train and coach existing and new members of the team
  • Respond to telephone and inbox queries, escalating where necessary
  • Maintaining a clear understanding of the concept of Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) and how AFH Wealth Management seeks to comply with this FCA requirement

What we are looking for in our ideal Associate Investment Analyst:

  • Good knowledge of the Financial Services Market and Investment Products
  • Either already working towards or be committed to progress towards level 4 qualification
  • Relevant Operational procedures knowledge
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Some experience of quantitative and qualitative investment research
  • Some experience of data systems (FE Analytics, Morningstar, Eikon, Bloomberg etc.) would be desirable but not essential
