General Manager - Build to Rent

£55k + 10% bonus (discretionary)

Mon-Fri 9am-5pm (flexibilty to cover other hours as required/peak times)

Must have 3 years of BTR experience at a General Manager/RSM/Residence Manager/Community Manager level

You will report to the Regional General Manager and be accountable for the execution of national and regional strategies for the BTR property. You will deliver improved operational, safety, sales, and revenue performance, increase overall profitability, and drive improvements across the end-to-end customer and employee experience.

What we are looking for

  • Past Built-to-Rent experience essential
  • Past General Manager/Property Manager in Built-to-Rent sector
  • Able to identify, understand, and balance short term and operational demands with the delivery of longer term and strategic priorities for your cluster of properties
  • Able to identify, understand, and develop novel strategies to deliver against local and organisational priorities
  • Able to build and lead high performing, engaged and motivated teams with a sense of belonging and community
  • Able to build a customer focussed, safe, secure, and inclusive culture for all
  • Able to advocate, communicate and deliver changes in working practices that support local and organisational success
  • Able to understand, and absorb information from a range of different sources, and use it to make effective business decisions
  • Able to understand root causes, analyse, and solve complex business issues
  • Able to adapt your style to inspire, engage, and motivate others in varying situations
  • Able to build effective and collaborative relationships at all organisational levels

Working full-time, the General Manager will be on property and available as business needs dictate, in line with our promise to our residents of `being there when you need us` - this will include being part of an appropriate on-call rota alongside your assistant manager and team
