Hales Group are happy to be working with one of our prestigious clients based in Eye, Suffolk. This company has provided companies from Agriculture to Packaging and has grown significantly over the past 20 years and due to continued growth are now looking for a CAD Engineer to join their team!
Main Duties
- Compile 2D CAD / CAM drawings based on customers drawings / information or from existing 2D and 3D CAD data
- Nesting of parts for Laser cutting and manufacturing
- Prepare necessary information and drawings for fabrication (Laser cutting / folding) in house
- Maintain stock and material records
- Support workshop / sales staff with technical information
Essential Skills / Experience
- Previous CAD drawing experience (preferably with knowledge of either SolidWorks or AutoCAD)
- Able to read and understand basic engineering drawings
- Minimum 2 years' experience within engineering / manufacturing industry
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good telephone manner and happy to liaise with customers via phone and / or email
Desirable Skills / Experience
- Knowledge of 2D & 3D SolidWorks (SolidWorks ‘sheet metal' package)
- Previous experience with sheet metal fabrication or Laser cutting would be beneficial but not essential as full training given
- Experience of Microsoft Office packages (e.g. Excel)

8.00am till 4.30pm
Salary
£28,000 - £30,000 Per annum
