Job Description: SEN Teacher
Overview:
Remedy Education is seeking a qualified and passionate SEN Teacher to join a Primary School in Southwark **.**The successful candidate will demonstrate strong classroom management skills and provide engaging, tailored teaching to meet the diverse needs of all students, particularly those with special educational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Planning and Delivery: Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the national curriculum while catering to the unique learning needs of students with SEN.
- Classroom Management: Create a positive and structured classroom environment, using effective behaviour management strategies to encourage respect and learning.
- Assessment and Feedback: Regularly assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to enhance learning outcomes. Utilise assessment data to inform future planning and targeted interventions.
- Collaboration: Work closely with fellow teachers, support staff, and school leadership to ensure a cohesive approach to teaching and learning for all students.
- Parent Communication: Establish effective communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress, behaviour, and any concerns, fostering a strong home-school partnership.
- Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional development opportunities and participate in staff meetings and training sessions to enhance your teaching practice and knowledge of SEN.
- Safeguarding: Uphold and promote the school's safeguarding policies, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all students.

Experience, Training, and Qualifications:
- Qualifications: Teaching qualification with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
- Experience: Previous experience in a UK primary school setting, particularly with SEN, is required.
- Training: Up-to-date safeguarding training issued within the last year is desirable; some training will be provided.
Eligibility Requirements:
To be eligible for this role through Remedy Education, candidates must:
- Hold the Right to Work in the UK.
- Possess an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application.
- Provide two professional references related to childcare or education.
