Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) - Harrow - Commencing September 2024
- An HLTA assists teachers in delivering lessons, providing targeted support to individual students or small groups, and helping to manage classroom behavior and engagement.
- They plan and implement specific learning activities and interventions, often taking responsibility for leading these sessions independently to enhance student learning outcomes.
- An HLTA contributes to the assessment process by observing and recording students' progress, providing feedback to teachers, and helping to adjust instructional strategies based on students' needs.
- They work closely with students with special educational needs or disabilities, adapting materials and strategies to ensure all students can access the curriculum effectively.
- An HLTA will perform various administrative tasks such as preparing resources, organizing classroom materials, and assisting with the management of school events and activities, thereby supporting the overall functioning of the school.
