We are inviting applications for the role of History Teacher at our exceptional school in Slough. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic educator with a passion for history and a commitment to delivering high-quality education. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching history across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, and preparing students for their GCSE and A-Level examinations.

Day to day of the role:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and challenging history lessons that captivate students and foster a deep understanding of historical events and perspectives.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their academic and personal development.
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and share innovative teaching practices and resources.
  • Participate in and contribute to extracurricular activities and school events, enhancing the school's community spirit.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A degree in History or a related field.
  • Experience teaching history at secondary school level, including preparing students for GCSE and A-Level examinations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration and relationship building.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development and a drive to stay current with educational research and best practices.
