We are inviting applications for the role of History Teacher at our exceptional school in Slough. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching history across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, and preparing students for their GCSE and A-Level examinations.
Day to day of the role:
- Plan and deliver engaging and challenging history lessons that captivate students and foster a deep understanding of historical events and perspectives.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their academic and personal development.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and share innovative teaching practices and resources.
- Participate in and contribute to extracurricular activities and school events, enhancing the school's community spirit.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- A degree in History or a related field.
- Experience teaching history at secondary school level, including preparing students for GCSE and A-Level examinations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration and relationship building.
- A commitment to continuous professional development and a drive to stay current with educational research and best practices.
