Join an innovative team working on a widely used messaging platform, focusing on creating impactful user experiences for business messaging. As a UX Researcher, you will collaborate closely with a specialised and integrated team to design, build, and launch new products. Your research will shape product development, tackling user needs and refining features that support business interactions on the messaging platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct end-to-end research, from initial planning to analysis and reporting.
  • Lead usability tests, diary studies, and focus groups centered around support and integrity topics for the messaging platform.
  • Work with data science, engineering, and other UX researchers to define research goals and methodologies.
  • Manage projects, coordinating with external vendors such as recruiters and translators to ensure research quality.
  • Conduct interviews and focus groups in local languages, synthesizing findings into actionable insights.
  • Present research findings to internal stakeholders to inform product decisions.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Proven ability to design and conduct research that directly influences product development.
  • Flexibility to manage multiple projects efficiently, ensuring quality and rigorous research standards.
  • Strong communication skills, particularly in storytelling and presenting research insights.
  • A deep understanding of user behaviour and empathy for diverse user groups.
  • Experience with mixed research methodologies, including usability testing and quantitative analysis.

Qualifications:

  • Required:

  • 5+ years of UX research experience.

  • BA/BS in a human behaviour-related field (e.g., Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Sociology, Information Science).

  • Preferred:

  • MA/MS/MPhil/PhD in a relevant field.

  • Experience conducting research in rural areas or among users with low digital literacy.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Demonstrates clear examples of successful product impact through research.
  • Skilled in identifying key research questions in complex business environments.
  • Experienced in conducting usability tests and other core research methodologies.
  • Has a background in the tech industry with a track record of adapting to fast-paced environments.
