  • Job Type: Part-time, Permanent
  • Hours: 20–25 hours per week, Monday to Friday (flexible schedule, minimum 4 days in the office)
  • Salary: £12.25 per hour

Join our client's team as a Sales & Administration Assistant. This role involves managing a wide range of administrative tasks, including handling sales enquiries, processing orders, and supporting production scheduling. The successful candidate will ensure smooth day-to-day operations across departments while upholding company and statutory standards.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Respond to incoming enquiries via phone and email, addressing customer questions, special requests, and complaints professionally.
  • Assist in preparing and issuing quotations and follow up to ensure conversion.
  • Promote company products and services to support sales growth.
  • Provide cover for sales order processing and quotation follow-up when needed.
  • Accept and process sales orders accurately.
  • Place and follow up on supplier orders to meet customer requirements.
  • Support the maintenance of the production schedule by tracking incoming and outgoing orders.
  • Assist with Goods Inwards, Test & Inspection, and other production-related tasks.
  • Maintain and update MRP, CRM, and sales order systems.
  • Support basic bookkeeping, including invoice processing and payment matching.
  • Perform general office duties such as ordering supplies, proofreading, filing, scanning, and data entry.
  • Negotiate office contracts and ensure smooth day-to-day office operations.
  • Maintain company records and assist with ISO9001 documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with internal procedures and statutory requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a Sales or Production Office environment is desirable.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is essential, particularly basic Excel.
  • Experience with data entry and data cleansing is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Willingness to undertake training as required.
