Meraki Talent's client is on the lookout for a 1st Line Application Support Engineer to join their team. They are a niche software house who are continuously growing across the finance sector - offices in both Glasgow and Edinburgh!

You'll be joining a small team of Application Support Engineers to provide 1st line Support across the business, taking end to end ownership of all tickets you receive, and escalating to the 2nd line Engineers when required. You will ensure that the ticket system is always up to date, and that all tickets are logged and triaged.

Responsibilities of the 1st Line Application Support Engineer –

  • End to end ownership of all tickets, carrying out initial investigations and troubleshoot issues
  • Support the deployment of release and configuration changes following the change management procedures
  • Ensure ticket system is up to date and accurate at all times
  • Proactively maintain the activity across the customer base

Background of the 1st Line Application Support Engineer –

  • Experience providing 1st line Support
  • Strong communication skills – speaking with team members across the business
  • Experience with MS-SQL – Azure SQL Databases
  • Exposure to ITIL principles

The company are going through a big growth at the moment, working with new clients across the globe so the desk will be growing to provide 24-hour operations, therefore you will be working on a rotational shift pattern.
