Academics are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join the team at a wonderful, thriving Secondary school in Chelmsford, Essex from September 2024 until at least July 2025.

This is an amazing opportunity for a long-term role until July 2025, with the potential for a permanent contract for the successful candidate.

Responsibilities:

  • * Support learners in small groups or on a one-to-one basis
  • * Help maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment
  • * Monitor and record progress of learners, providing feedback to teachers and parents
  • * Assist in planning and delivering lessons, while supporting the class teacher to ensure productive and engaging lessons.
  • * Carrying out administrative tasks

The role will involve working with students individually or in small groups, aged between 11 and 18 years old. You will support them to improve their engagement with learning. This may involve providing support to students with Special Educational Needs/Disabilities (SEND) or Social, Emotional, Mental Health needs (SEMH).
