Quality Manager – FTC
Milton Keynes | £65,000 per annum | Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm | 12-month Fixed-Term Contract
Are you a proven Quality Manager with strong leadership skills and a passion for continuous improvement in food manufacturing? We're looking for someone who can lead from the front—setting the bar for quality, food safety, and compliance, while mentoring a high-performing team.
What You'll Be Doing:
As Quality Manager, you'll report into the Site Manager and Group Quality Manager. You'll lead a dedicated quality team (1 Team Leader & 5 Officers on a 3-on/3-off shift pattern) and act as the driving force behind all quality, food safety, and microbiology standards at the site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop the site's quality team, embedding a culture of safety, accountability, and excellence.
- Ensure full compliance with Quality, Food Safety, GMP, Environmental, and legislative requirements.
- Conduct microbiological investigations and troubleshooting with R&D and site teams.
- Drive root cause analysis and implement robust corrective actions.
- Own the HACCP plan and lead the site HACCP team.
- Lead internal and external audits, ensuring audit readiness at all times.
- Champion quality training, toolbox talks, and site-wide engagement.
- Support NPD and product launch activities.
- Report on site performance and KPIs, and chair Quality Committee meetings.
What We're Looking For:
- Experience as a Quality Manager within FMCG (ideally food/drinks).
- Strong leadership skills – confident in coaching, mentoring, and influencing across all levels.
- Confident with authority but empathetic and relationship-driven.
- Solid understanding of BRC and HACCP standards (Level 3 or above).
- Skilled in managing audits, investigations, and quality reporting.
- Proactive, driven and keen to lead change and raise standards.
