Credit Manager

We are pleased to be supporting a great client in the care sector in hiring a top tier Credit Manager.

The Head Office is in North London and the role is fully office based.

In this role, you will report to the Finance Director and you will take leadership responsibility for managing the end-to-end collections process.

As Credit Manager, key responsibilities will include:

  • Oversee and optimise the credit and cash collection processes.
  • Lead the Credit team (currently 4 but growing to 6).
  • Establish challenging yet attainable targets for cash collection and debt reduction, motivating the team to improve collections company-wide.
  • Identify, recommend, and implement process improvements, while also supporting other projects related to credit and collections.
  • Produce insightful weekly/monthly dashboard reports and commentary.
  • Cultivate strong and sustainable relationships with other key departments involved in the order to cash process.
  • Analyse collection strategies for different customer types to ensure the most effective actions are taken.
  • Collaborate closely with other business areas to address debt issues and drive long-term efficiency
  • Mitigate any risks associated with credit and debt processes.
  • Support the management and effectiveness of the legal escalation process.
  • Establish and maintain a credit control framework to enhance the integrity of credit and cash collection processes and reduce risks.

To be successful in this Credit Manager role, you will demonstrate the following:

  • A proven track record in a Credit leadership role.
  • Experience of collecting debt from local and health authorities as well as private clients.
  • Extensive knowledge in debt reporting, analytics, credit risk, credit scoring, and credit systems.
  • An empowering leader who can drive teams to achieve exceptional results.
  • Demonstrated success in business partnering and managing stakeholders across diverse teams.
  • Enthusiastic advocate of continuous improvement, capable of driving positive change.
  • Effective influencer and negotiator.
  • Strong commercial focus and business acumen.
  • Excellent organizational skills with adaptability to shifting priorities and crucial deliverables.
  • Experience in project delivery is desired.
  • CICM or ICM is a plus.
