Senior Management Accountant

KCR Solutions are supporting our client, a manufacturing company based in Washington in their search for a Senior Management Accountant. Our client is looking for someone who is qualified however will also consider those qualified by experience or actively studying. You will be a good all-rounder, hands on and who enjoys working as in small team. It would be preferred for candidates to have manufacturing experience.

The role will report to the Financial Controller and duties will include:-

  • Produce monthly management accounts, including variance to budget.
  • Produce monthly reporting pack
  • Prepare information for monthly Board Meeting for Head of Finance and Directors.
  • Ensure weekly financial and project information is accurately produced on weekly basis, including weekly hours reports, departmental reports, level 3 cost sheet information and invoice master milestones.
  • Develop reports for managers showing order time information, comparisons to attendance, overtime, etc.
  • Product weekly cash flow forecast
  • Attend weekly meetings and present information.
  • Attend weekly commercial reviews and issue summary report information.
  • Develop reporting for projects including small jobs to ensure meeting profit margins.
  • Review processes in both AMS and SAGE to ensure all meet with best practice and are being done in the most efficient way.
  • Ensure all monthly routines in SAGE & AMS are run in timely manner.
  • Support Project Management Office (PMO) to get AMS Project Management accurately reflecting the projects and their profitability. Help set up and support fortnightly project reviews.
  • Support Supply Chain Manager and Head of Finance to develop reports for monitoring spend and performance in the supply chain, and establish cost down programs and report and monitor progress
  • Bi-Annual visits to branch near Birmingham to ensure procedures are being followed correctly.
  • Assist with preparation of year-end statutory accounts.
  • Assist with preparation of budgets & forecasts.
  • Provide cover for the Finance Team including processing timesheets, invoices, answering reception telephone calls, open incoming mail, assist visitors, book travel arrangement & insurance database.
  • Assisting Head of Finance with ad hoc duties.
  • Experience of integrated computer system - preferably installation of system
  • Experienced user of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)

Salary range £40k-£48k depending on experience
Hours of work - Mon to Thurs 8am-5pm (1/2 hour unpaid lunch), Fri8am-1pm (no lunch)
