Compliance and Facilities Engineer

At Isover we are looking for a Compliance and Facilities Engineer to work as part of our Engineering Team, helping to deliver the activities relating to EHS compliance within the Engineering Department's remit as well as to coordinate and manage permits to work and contractor activities on site.

This Compliance and Facilities Engineer role will be a part of the Engineering team. This is a unique and varied role within our wider team and we can offer you flexibility on your working hours in return for your enthusiasm and practical aptitude.

Isover is part of Saint-Gobain and offers thermal and acoustic insulation solutions for roofs, walls and floors. Our Isover business designs and manufactures mineral wool insulation solutions in a UK-based plant in Runcorn, Cheshire, which uses 100% renewable electricity. We provide solutions across a wide range of applications, including technical insulation for industry and HVAC, distributed nationwide through our valued channel partners.

This is a days-based role working 36.25 hours per week.

What we're looking for:

  • Knowledge and understanding of legislation including PUWER, LOLER, PSSR, Fire Reform Act, Working at Height, Legionnaires, EAWR etc
  • IOSH or NEBOSH qualification
  • Experienced in managing contractors and permits to work, ideally in a manufacturing environment
  • HNC or above in an engineering discipline would be advantageous
  • Excellent communication and good IT literacy
  • General building maintenance experience and management of facilities

What you will be doing:

  • Coordinating and managing contractors to ensure the site is EHS compliant
  • Sourcing contractors with a cost focus and whilst ensuring capability
  • Identifying and understanding gaps in compliance and undertaking schedules, reports, adherence and rectification work identified to achieve Statutory and Mandatory compliance.
  • Be a key member of the energy management team on-site
  • Schedule activities of the Facilities function on a daily basis to ensure efficient completion of site facilities jobs raised through PM work requests.
