HR Generalist

I am working with a growing manufacturing company who are seeking an experienced HR Generalist to join their team.

The HR Generalist will be responsible to provide comprehensive support in various HR areas, including learning systems, leadership, performance, succession, talent acquisition, and development. This role is integral to aligning talent management with the company's strategic goals and ensuring HR processes are effective and compliant.

Day-to-day of the HR Generalist:

  • Complete monthly payroll for all employees
  • Maintain and update job requirements and descriptions for all positions.
  • Manage employee relations, including resolving grievances, counselling employees and supervisors, and ensuring legal compliance.
  • Oversee payroll systems to reflect current employee base, wages, benefits, sick, and holiday time.
  • Advise on performance management processes and assist in the development of performance improvement plans.
  • Administer the performance review program, ensuring effectiveness, compliance, and equity.
  • Identify skill gaps and recommend training, organising, and facilitating employee training activities.
  • Develop recruitment strategies, maintain relationships with staffing vendors, and analyse recruitment metrics.
  • Evaluate and maintain employee benefits programs, ensuring they are current, competitive, and legal.
  • Conduct periodic pay surveys, job evaluations, and prepare pay budgets.
  • Perform general administrative duties, manage office supplies, maintain records, and prepare financial reports.
  • Develop and improve administrative systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Plan and oversee office events, manage special projects, and track progress towards company goals.

Required Skills & Qualifications for the HR Generalist:

  • Previous experience in a HR role
  • Payroll experience
  • UK Employment law knowledge.
  • Excellent communication abilities and leadership skills.
  • Membership of CIPD/SPHRi/SHRM is advantageous.
  • Experience supporting managers across various departments in all HR and training aspects.
