  • Salary: £12.18 PAYE / £14.88 Umbrella per hour

We are seeking a dedicated Business Support Officer to provide essential support to our Adoption & Fostering Services. The role involves liaising with both internal and external stakeholders, minuting meetings, and ensuring excellent customer service across a diverse range of service functions.

Day to day of the role:

  • Handle telephone and face-to-face enquiries, offering advice, guidance, and support to customers in line with relevant legislation, regulations, and procedures.
  • Triage and direct referrals and requests for service to appropriate teams, ensuring a timely response.
  • Process various referrals, requests, and applications, applying rules and guidelines, and communicate outcomes to customers.
  • Accurately input, record, and maintain information on computer and paper-based systems, ensuring data security and confidentiality.
  • Organise and support statutory meetings, producing accurate minutes and action schedules, and liaising with stakeholders.
  • Undertake financial administration tasks, including order placement, invoice processing, and income reconciliation.
  • Administer petty cash in accordance with financial regulations, ensuring safe-keeping and accurate reconciliation.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to maintain communication links.
  • Manage administrative duties while addressing interruptions, queries, and conflicting demands from customer queries and requests.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience working within a business support environment.
  • Proven experience handling highly confidential and sensitive information.
  • Experience working with financial information.
  • Experience in servicing meetings and minute-taking directly onto mobile devices with speed and accuracy.
