Human Resources Implementation Lead - Oracle Fusion – West Sussex
Location - PO19 1RQ (Hybrid)
On going contract – 37 hours – £518.55per day
What you will be doing?
- The HR Implementation Lead is responsible for overseeing and managing the successful implementation of payroll systems for clients or within the organisation. This role ensures that all HR and related processes are accurately and efficiently transitioned to the new Oracle Fusion system, meeting both business requirements and regulatory compliance standards.
- Project Management: Lead end-to-end HR implementation projects, including planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and risk management. Deliver input to strategy documents for data migration, testing, training, and reporting.
- System Configuration: Perform GAP analysis between legacy and Oracle and ensure system design is fit for purpose. Review design and configuration of HR system to meet specific client or organisational requirements.
- Data Migration: Oversee the accurate migration of Employee and HR data from legacy systems to the new platform, ensuring data integrity and compliance with data protection regulations.
- Client/Stakeholder Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact between clients/stakeholders and the implementation team, managing expectations and ensuring clear communication throughout the project. Support: Provide ongoing subject matter expertise and support during and after the implementation process.
- Testing and Validation: Coordinate system testing, including user acceptance testing (UAT), to ensure the HR system components and integrations function correctly and meets all specified requirements. Ensure that the integration between HR and other modules works as expected.
- Compliance Assurance: Ensure that all HR processes comply with relevant employment laws, tax regulations, and organisational policies.
- Post-Implementation Review: Conduct post-implementation reviews to assess project success, identify areas for improvement, and ensure ongoing support mechanisms are in place.

- Internal: HR and Payroll Department, IT Department, Finance Department, Project Management Office
- External: System Implementer, Data Migration Partner, Change management partner, traded services customers
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5–8 years of experience in HR management or ERP system implementation, with at least 3-5 years leading Oracle HCM implementations in a Local Government organisation setting.
- Certifications: Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) is a plus.
Skills and Competencies:
- Project Management: Strong project management skills with the ability to lead complex implementation projects on time and within budget.
- Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of Oracle HR systems, data migration techniques, and system configuration.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyse complex data sets and ensure accurate data transfer.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate and resolve issues that may arise during the implementation process.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, manage conflicts, and drive results.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail, particularly in working with SI to manage payroll data and system configuration.
Working Conditions:
- Location: Hybrid role with remote work depending on project requirements.
- Hours of Work: Standard office hours with some flexibility required during critical project phases.
- Travel Requirements: Occasional travel to client sites or other company offices as needed.
