We are currently looking for an ambitious Trainee Accountant (Level 3 AAT Qualified) to join a fantastic, busy and growing accountancy firm based in Northampton. This is a permanent position, offering up to £26K as well as potential study package options. Working hours are 37.5 hours per week (core hours are 8.15am - 4.15pm Monday-Friday).

You will be given the opportunity to significantly develop your skills and take on additional responsibilities whilst working alongside a high performing accounts division to support you with your studies.

The role:
- Provide an efficient accountancy service to a portfolio of clients (sole traders, small partnerships and small/micro-sized limited companies)
- Accurately prepare management accounts
- Liaise with clients and HMRC
- Review of confirmation statements and other statutory documentation
- Accurately complete personal and partnership tax returns
You:
- A minimum of 6-12 months experience working in an accountancy practice
- AAT Level 3 qualified
- Good knowledge of accountancy systems (e.g. Sage, Xero, QuickBooks and Iris)
- Previous experience preparing year-end statutory accounts
- Able to develop strong relationships with clients
- Works well under pressure in a fast paced, busy environment
- Uses own initiative and has a proactive approach
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multi-task
- Enthusiastic with the desire to learn and develop
The Package:
- Working 37.5 hours per week, slightly flexible on start and finish times
- 22 days holiday plus bank holidays
