My Client are seeking a dedicated Fabric Engineer to join our facilities management team. The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and repair of building fabric, as well as providing support to the M&E engineer with tasks on site. This role is integral to maintaining the high standards and functionality of our facilities. tis a mobile role covering within the M25. Ideally from a carpentry background with other skills.

Working hours are 8 - 4pm

There is lost of overtime and extra earning potential, a nice positive company.

Call out and overtime not essential, but lots available for the taking.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance, including electrical & mechanical PPM (where skills permit) and reactive works, minor building repairs, fabric repairs, and plumbing works including drainage.
  • Close/update completed Reactive & PPM tasks on the site's computerised maintenance system.
  • Maintain standards of workmanship to maximise operation, effectiveness, and reliability of the building and associated systems.
  • Assist specialist subcontractors with PPM and reactive works.
  • Adhere to all site and company Health & Safety procedures.
  • Maintain accurate site records/documentation in association with all site works.
  • Inspect the condition of services and proactively deal with callouts/repairs as required.
  • Carry out tasks within typical building environments and at high levels, working from platforms and ladders (all access and PPE will be provided).
  • Maintain all company-issued tools in a safe and serviceable manner.
  • Support the continued success and support of the contract with a positive approach.
  • Comply with company Health, Safety, and Environmental procedures.
  • Complete any other associated tasks as requested by management.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience in a similar high residential /Commercial maintenance environment.
  • Familiarity with L8 requirements, Fire Alarm Testing, Plumbing, and Record keeping.
  • L8 Awareness.
  • Desirable qualifications include additional trade qualifications (plumbing, Mechanical or electrical), City & Guilds 2391 (Inspection and Testing), IPAF, and PASMA.
