Purchase to Pay Compliance Officer

This role has a starting salary of £29,697 per annum, based on a 36 hour working week. This is a 12 month fixed term contract/secondment opportunity.

We are excited to be hiring a Purchase to Pay Compliance Officer (P2P) to join our fantastic P2P Team. This role is within Surrey's Finance and Purchasing Service, who manage the transactional elements of the groups core processes covering; income, banking, debt recovery, payments, orders, customer data and query handling via a helpdesk.

This role is based at Dakota House in Weybridge. This is a hybrid role split between home and office working. Office attendance is 1 to 2 days a week, which may increase during periods of training.

About the Role
The Purchase to Pay (P2P) team consists of P2P Compliance, the Payment Team and Data Operations. Collectively the team manage the process from setting up suppliers, ordering through to payment. The team are responsible for supporting internal customers with their purchasing requirements, ensuring ease of purchase and compliance and managing customer records. This is a small team where flexible working and prioritisation is key.

As the Purchase to Pay Compliance Officer, you will provide advice and support to Surrey's purchasing community, with particular regard to their different purchasing needs and aiming to meet or exceed their requirements and expectations.

Day to day duties include:

  • Raising requisitions within defined guidelines
  • Carrying out compliance checks
  • Managing supplier and customer data
  • Fraud prevention
  • Cost centre creation
  • Providing internal customer support and advice

Shortlisting Criteria
To be shortlisted to interview for this position your application must clearly evidence:

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to establish strong working relationships with both fellow colleagues and customers
  • Great IT skills, in particular with Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Experience in a data entry environment
  • We are seeking a team player with high attention to detail, excellent customer service skills and a great communicator to fulfill this important role.
