We are currently recruiting for an experienced Sea Freight Specialist to work as part of the Ocean team due to business growth.
This Sea Freight specialist role will manage import and export sea freight shipments and will play a vital role in delivering a smooth sea freight operation.
The role as Sea Freight Specialist:
- Requesting and gathering quotations swiftly from suppliers and partners in a timely and efficient manner.
- Negotiating with suppliers while prioritising the client's interests.
- Managing the sea freight operations from receipt of bookings from customers to arranging collection and booking cargo with carriers.
- Generating export booking confirmations, import arrival notices and advising to clients/overseas agents.
- Handling export and export customs entries in collaboration with our in-house customs team and external brokers, ensuring compliance requirements are met.
- Managing shipments covered by letters of credit and issue certificates of origin, when required.
- Preparing documentation for import clearance, ready for clearance broker or to complete the clearance inhouse.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experienced Sea Freight professional with a solid foundation within a freight forwarding environment.
- You are commercially minded, operationally strong, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in imports, exports, and cross-trade
