The Management Accountant will play a key role in providing financial insights that drive business performance. You will be responsible for preparing management accounts, analysing financial data, and advising on key financial decisions. This role requires a proactive approach, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.

My client is recruiting for a Management Accountant role in Crawley.

Description

  • Management Reporting: Prepare timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with business objectives and identifying variances from actuals.
  • Cost Analysis: Conduct detailed cost analysis and identify areas for cost reduction, efficiency improvements, and profit maximisation.
  • Financial Planning: Support strategic planning by providing financial projections, scenario analysis, and financial modelling.
  • Business Partnering: Work closely with department heads and senior management to provide financial guidance and support on key business decisions.
  • Variance Analysis: Analyse variances between actual results and budget/forecasts, providing insights and recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Compliance & Controls: Ensure financial processes comply with relevant regulations, standards, and internal controls.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to financial systems, processes, and reporting tools to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the finance function.

Profile

  • Strong proficiency in financial reporting and analysis.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and experience with financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly and concisely.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of relevant financial regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Potentially working towards an Accountancy qualification.
  • Preferably have had previous experience working as a Management Accountant.
