IT Manager | Telford | Permanent | £50,000 - £55,000 (depending on experience)
The Business
Working in partnership with Seymour John, our client is experiencing extremely high growth from £40m in 2023 to £120m in 2024. They have an order book worth over £500m.
Their operations encompass both design, manufacturing and construction activities with their largest current project worth £130m and they are in a high growth niche of the market.
The Role
- Developing the organisation's IT vision and translating it into actionable goals.
- Day to day management of IT vendors ensuring licences remain in date and negotiated to ensure pricing and service are continuously improving.
- Working with Head Office to ensure compliance with Group policies - this includes items such as IT security.
- Formalising of IT policies.
- Identifying and acting on opportunities to improve and update software and systems.
- Formulating and implementing business continuity and disaster recovery plans
- Overseeing departmental budgeting and forecasting within the organization
- Maintain IT infrastructure (servers, network, etc.)
- Maintain Wi-Fi hotspots across the site
- Ensure security of our data and compliance to GDPR
- Manage the IT team in all aspects (including training, performance appraisal, and recruitment)
- Create, submit and monitor annual budget for the IT function
- To sponsor and drive the Technology and Innovation initiative to implement projects.
About you
- At least 5 years experience in a similar role
- A self-starter who is skilled in taking a proactive approach to achieving excellence
- Prepared to be on-site 5 days a week with flexibility for those unforeseen situations
- Excellent communication skills
- Able to lead and develop junior staff.
