BI Manager

I am currently looking for a BI Manager for a leading independent publishing house.

This will be a 6-8 month Fixed-Term Contract.

Location: Hybrid (2 days onsite in Central London).

Salary: £52,000 - 57,000 (pro rata).

Key Skills:

  • Excellent knowledge of Excel, SQL.
  • Industry experience with Data analytics & BI tools (including IBM Planning & Cognos Analytics).
  • The ability to work across departments and successfully manage key stakeholders.

This is a hands-on role, managing a small team of x2 BI Analysts.

What will you be doing?

  • As the BI Manager, you will be responsible for the development, delivery and support of Data, BI and Analytics solutions that provide actionable and meaningful insights for managing company performance.
  • Not only will you be hands-on, but you will also act as one of the main POCs within the Business Intelligence team.
  • You will manage x2 BI Analysts and support them on their growth.
  • Be responsible for setting the team's programme of work, scheduling and overseeing tasks, ensuring the quality of Project artefacts and reporting on progress, issues and achievements to your line manager.
  • You will work closely with the Sales & Finance team to support budgeting and forecasting using tools such as IBM Planning Analytics.
  • Regularly engage with stakeholders to understand and meet requirements with respect to these systems, or the implementation of any new tools to achieve goals
  • Provide technical expertise and leadership on data visualisation and self-serve reporting
  • You will work with your team to scope, develop, test and maintain reports from the data warehouse, managing change requests to sales reporting and ensuring accuracy.

Additional information

  • The role is a full-time maternity cover position (6 - 8 months).
  • You must have full right to work in the UK to apply for this role.
