Pay Range:
- C1 Starting Salary: £19,346
- C3 Starting Salary: £21,804 (for the right candidate)

Role Overview: The BSW will work predominantly in our specialist behaviour provision. The main purpose of the role is to support the work of teaching and senior staff to implement agreed work programmes with individuals or small groups, both in and out of the classroom. The successful candidate will need a driving licence and be able to drive the minibus or use their own car. You will support the class teacher in addressing pupils' social, emotional, and behavioural needs as well as supporting academic learning. Establishing productive working relationships with pupils and acting as a role model at all times is essential. This role will include communication with parents/carers and external agencies.
Qualities We Are Looking For:
- Ability to relate well to children and adults and communicate at all levels.
- Ability to deal effectively with students presenting challenging behaviour using de-escalation techniques as appropriate.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team.
- Knowledge and experience of behaviour management and restorative strategies.
- Experience of working with secondary-aged children.
- Experience of working with students with additional needs.
