Arcas Technology is partnered with a leading Telecommunications company who are currently looking for an experienced Systems Engineer to join their business on a permanent basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the full project lifecycle, including R&D, build, testing, and implementation of secure communication and data network systems.
- Provide training to system engineers, support staff, field service engineers, and end users on new systems, with continued refresh training throughout the project's life cycle.
- Lead R&D initiatives involving new technologies.
- Support the installation and configuration of secure data networks (routing, switching, VPNs), using equipment from Juniper, Cisco, Fortinet and more.
- Configure secure Wi-Fi systems and harden VOIP systems, including legacy and modern telephony.
- Assist field engineers during first-of-class system installs and provide remote and on-site technical support as needed.
- Participate in a duty on-call rota, providing critical after-hours support with financial incentives for high-priority issue resolution.
Required Skills:
- Strong expertise in data networking (routing, switching, VPN), with a preferred degree-level qualification.
- Extensive experience with Juniper equipment is essential.
- Hands-on experience with technologies and equipment such as Cisco, Fortinet, Windows OS, Linux OS, fibre networks, and secure telephony systems.
- Cisco CCNA or equivalent
- Must have the ability to achieve DV Security Clearance
