The programme

We'll help you to build a successful career in Finance. You will develop your knowledge and skills through on-the-job experiences, working with others and attending formal training and events. This will include working towards a recognised professional accountancy qualification, such as CIMA or ACCA. We're looking for people who are curious, creative, and ambitious. We aren't expecting you to have the knowledge and experience from day one and will support you on your journey to achieve your full potential with us.

Over three years, you'll develop a deep understanding of how the business is run, while completing an industry recognised accountancy qualification. After three years, you'll have completed placements across six different areas of Finance where you will have gained excellent analytical and relationship management skills. The Finance Graduate programme is a fantastic opportunity to gain up to date knowledge on the ever-changing financial services environment, and to develop skills across a range of areas, which can then be taken into a variety of different roles, including Tax, Treasury, Investor Relations and Business Partnering.

We're looking for graduates at any point in their career with an undergraduate or master's degree minimum 2:1 in any subject area. We ask that you have a keen interest in Finance and the rest we'll help you with!

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete a range of standard Accountancy functions (including producing financial reports, providing analysis of data, statutory reporting, etc) as required by the specific department to meet business and regulatory requirements.
  • Candidates with an Accountancy/Finance degree will be preferred
  • Build knowledge and understanding of a few key reporting bases (e.g. IFRS, UKGAAP) in order to bring different reporting perspectives into analysis and judgement.
  • Undertake analysis of business data and reports and draw conclusions regarding commercial viability and tax efficiency of proposed business strategies, and make recommendations where possible.
  • Building professional knowledge in an environment of fast moving regulatory change.
  • Applying theoretical accountancy principles in a practical business environment.
  • Applying commercial understanding of the business to ensure accountancy advice is aligned with the business needs.
  • Regularly working to defined and tight timescales whilst maintaining professional standards.
