Position: Externals Manager
We are a recognised contractor with a growing presence across London, currently seeking an experienced Externals Site Manager to join the team on a multi-phased residential project in West London.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all external works on the site, ensuring timely and high-quality completion.
- Coordinate and supervise sub-contractors involved in external works, primarily brickwork and blockwork and including facades, roofing, landscaping, and groundwork.
- Monitor and enforce health and safety standards on-site.
- Conduct regular inspections and quality checks to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
- Liaise with the project manager and other key stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of external works with the overall construction programme.
- Manage site logistics, including deliveries, storage, and distribution of materials for external works.
- Resolve any on-site issues related to external works promptly and efficiently.
- Prepare and submit regular progress reports and updates to senior management.
- Ensure all external works are completed within budget and to the highest standard.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Externals Site Manager or similar role in residential construction.
- Strong understanding of external works, including facades, roofing, and landscaping.
- Excellent knowledge of health and safety regulations and practices.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Exceptional organisational and leadership skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid CSCS card and SMSTS certification.
- Experience in managing multi-phased projects is highly desirable.
